DIPTYCH CANVAS EDITION OF 50

This diptych began as a single square canvas and timid feeling of pink. Grabbing the brush, the urge transformed to lipstick pink! The following day a second square canvas joined to create the diptych. Little did I know the magic that would ensue. Next day an email from someone watching the live painting demonstration opened my eyes to the grey woman on the left canvas, being rescued by the angelic one on the right. 

As I completed the painting, an invitation arrived from Italy to exhibit them in Milan Fashion Week 2020 exhibition at MADS Gallery. I was thrilled to have my work reviewed by Italian curators and exhibited in my favorite country (aside from home.)

Thinking them complete, I was totally surprised to hear them speaking to me once again. I tried ignoring their calls for added colors. This proved futile and I brought them back on the easel and listened carefully. What I discovered changed the trajectory of my artistic life.

The colors you see today appeared layer by layer, revealing a magic garden where once a grey woman hid among the shadows. She revealed the Goddess palette to me, orchid pink vibrant glowing colors, and the power of fusing my human and divine selves in a diptych painting. With this fusion came a pair of haiku in my journal.

Hope holds my candle

Rainbow of my soul

Color me verdant, heart full

Of passion fruit, feast!
