On her first day in France, Dorothy went in search of lavender fields to paint. The village of Gordes did not disappoint! Her dream of painting lavender fields, cascaded from the spire of an ancient monastery. Down through the village, across rooftop gardens, hanging from balconies, calligraphic lines and colors washed to lavender farms and fields below. This collection of mixed media and oils fuse willow charcoal with thinned oil paint.
