Positioning a mantle painting
This painting is 40" wide, 30" tall ~ the perfect scale for this stone fireplace. Shown sitting on the mantle, we hung it 4" above the mantle, 6" from the ceiling. By keeping it slightly closer to the mantle than the ceiling, rather than centered, helps anchor the painting in the room.

Slate Gray Fireplace with Abstract Marsh, "Rippling Flow" & Turner Sculptures
A perfect backdrop for shore bird sculpture, "Rippling Flow" adds color and scaled detail to the bronze herons on the mantle.
Tall Narrow Walls are on Opportunity to Create Zen Space
A single tall painting on a narrow wall gives an uplift and creates grounding for your eye. This will counter-balance the feeling in a room with many details, stopping the eye and refocusing attention in a gentle, harmonious way.
