Especially now as the world around us swirls out of control ~ I use what I learned about color recovering from PTSD to maintain balance and stability.

Stepping into the soft moist meadow of coreopsis, daisy, bee balm, and poppies, a waft of fresh air blew cerulean sky down among us. Dorothy Fagan spreads joy to the world with healing colors painted in a warp and weft of textures. Like tapestries woven with alternating warm and cool paint, her canvases feel like fabric. Indeed she envisions wrapping colors around viewers in a healing aura sanctuary.
Dorothy studied color healing throughout her forty years of practicing art. She began in etching, lithography, woodcut, drawing and oil painting and holds a BFA in Printmaking and Painting from East Carolina University. She completed a ten-year Mentorship in American Master Painting with Robert Bowers Mayo in 1994.
Her paintings are collected by Musee de La Grande Vigne, France, City University of New York, U Mass Memorial, Boston Children's Hospital, Longwood University Art Museum, and offices and homes across the United States and abroad.
