Embody Earth

The notion of embodying earth first hit me as I was struggling with a landscape diptych. As I rotated the canvases, I saw mountains join to form a spine and ribs, her hands resting alongside the body. I felt myself inside the torso ~ my enormous struggle to stay inside my own body since the assault decades ago ~ justified in a flash.

My body of art morphed, and still I fear speaking the unspeakable. My heart healed itself through my paintings. My urge to throw them all away still present ~ yet here they are by some miracle of awareness gleaned from conversations with dear friends and generous collectors ~ priceless!

Each of my paintings speaks the heart connection between us. The thin space between heaven and earth, sky and meadow where life happens in the present moment. The message of my artistry ~ we are here to celebrate joy of being here on earth!
