Early Works 1976 ~ 1982

Fresh out of East Carolina University with my BFA in printmaking and painting, I began working in pastels. These helped me develop my intuitive sense of color, with no mixing or thinking, just grab and translate emotion into color. My extensive training in drawing, etching, woodcut, and lithography ~ all process oriented disciplines ~ gave me the foundation for building my emotional color palette.
